The Lone Gunmen

John Fitzgerald Byers

John Fitzgerald Byers was named after American President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, assassinated on the day of his birth -- November 22, 1963. This mild-mannered gentleman worked as a communications officer for the FCC until that fateful day in 1989 in Baltimore, at a high-tech computer convention, where he met Susanne Modeski and his life changed forever.

Thrown into a strange, dangerous world of conspiracies, kidnappings, mind-control drugs, and biological warfare, and facing death at the barrel of a pistol wielded by the mysterious Mr. X, Byers became a paranoid conspiracy theorist, devoted to exposing the truth about our government and its nefarious plots against its own people. Joining up with his new friends Melvin Frohike and Richard "Ringo" Langly, the trio became the heart and soul of the Lone Gunmen Publishing Group, and produce a weekly newsletter devoted to printing their discoveries.
