News Archives:
 03/2001

Here's the news of the month, as it happened, as we found it.

March 31, 2001
    Ratings rose for Friday's show

According to preliminary data at zap2it.com, the ratings for Friday's episode ("Madam, I'm Adam") rose slightly from last Friday's low mark. We're tracking the weekly ratings over on the Warehouse:

Lone Gunmen on X Files The Gunmen will be in tomorrow's episode, DeadAlive! Keep an eye out for them.

March 30, 2001
Well, the Lone Gunmen Official Site finally got around to posting the chat transcripts with the writers and the actors. [Hey, OS guys -- are you going to have the entire site online before the show's over for the season in May?] We, however have had them linked for weeks. You can check 'em out if you go to the second NEWS page.

There's some new bits in the Episodes pages here. The schedule has changed a bit for airing order. Check out the Episode List for air dates. One episode (1AEB11), we still don't have a title for, and as far as I know, there's no information out yet for episode 1AEB06, so if anybody's seen anything, please let us know!

Mitch Pileggi (as AD Skinner) is allegedly in Episode 10, but I don't know if that's Tango De Los Pistoleros or not. We'll let you know as soon as we do.

The Gunmen wrapped shooting for the season on March 22nd and had a big wrap party that day. Congratulations guys! And a huge thanks to everyone who worked on the show this season! We all love you folks! You're great! We hope we'll see you back for a second season later this year.

March 30, 2001
For you Zuleikha fans, somebody's finally set up a fan site for our favorite femme fatale. The site editor is looking for any help he can get to find new info about Zuleikha and her work, so be kind and help him out, eh?

March 30, 2001
The Lone Gunmen C-Band satellite prefeed can now be found Friday mornings at 9am eastern (6am pacific), on T5-9.

March 29, 2001
Added some additional information to "Maximum Byers" episode here on TvTome and updated the heck out of the Warehouse site. The Warehouse now includes the ratings for each show.

The ratings game is a very confusing one, so as we collect the statistics we'll tell you where they came from and what they're supposed to mean. New pages also include the "name that tune" page, with a listing of the songs played in each episode (identified by fans).

And last, but not least, our Roving Reporter Karo spotted the "Temptation Island Spin On The Lone Gunmen." It's... it's... uh... oh, heck. Just click on the link below -- AFTER you set your coffee cup down and warn the cat.

Both cover options are currently priced at US $2.99. The comic is due out sometime in May, if all goes well. Click on the link for ordering information.

March 20, 2001
If you're dying to ask the Lone Gunmen a question, here's your chance. The E! Online site is collecting questions for the Gunmen to be answered in an upcoming edition of their online zine. It's a subscription site, but it's free, so go on over and ask away. On the front page, look down in the lower right column for the Celebs section, click on that link, and up in the upper left column, you'll find a tiny little Gunmen link. Click on that. After you've signed up for membership and gotten your confirmation.

March 20, 2001
Here's another "secret" Fox LGM site, not unlike their Call to Arms LGM video. If you have flash and a web browser that they happen to approve of, the link will take you to a click-on multiple choice conspiracy test. Clicking the right answer will bring you to a page with a really nice Lone Gunmen poster that you can download in one of three different formats.

March 20, 2001
Friday Wild Feeds for C Band Fanatics: Last week we caught the Lone Gunmen feed on T5/9 at 6am Eastern/3am Pacific. If it's on this Friday at this place and time as well, then this will probably be the show's permanent affiliate feed.

March 19, 2001
    Ratings Up

The ratings for Sunday's showing "Like Water for Octane" were several points higher than those for "Eine Kleine Frohike." According to Zap2it.com, the ratings for the show were (6.3/9) but it lost viewers in the second half hour.

March 18, 2001
Don't forget! The Gunmen are on TONIGHT at 9pm eastern/pacific, with the episode Like Water for Octane. Gunmen series filming for this season should wrap in the next week and a half or so, but fear not! The Gunmen will be on a couple more X Files episodes before the end of season 8.

March 16, 2001
We get TWO episodes of The Lone Gunmen this week. Next week, The Lone Gunmen will move to its regularly scheduled Friday night slot.

There will be an IRC chat after each show on the duchovniks.squidge.org server (in fact, live chats are happening there almost every night). The Warehouse has software links and complete instructions for those who haven't tried IRC before. Mac users will need to use a different IRC client -- your editor Erynn uses IRCle, and it works like a charm.

March 16, 2001
Friday Gunmen wild feed found! Erynn's Beloved Spousal Unit happened upon it accidentally, early this morning. It's on Friday mornings on T5/9 at 9 am EST/6 am PST. With luck, this will be the permanent feed location and time. If we find anything different, we'll let you know.

March 14, 2001
The Episode Guide for several episodes was updated today with new cast information. Check out the individual episodes. To see the supporting cast members, look at the top blue bar in the episode info box, then click on the "pages" icon for information on other characters in each episode.

Your editors are a little fried from the Merry March GunFen Gathering at Erynn's FLO Bunker & Breakfast out in Seattle. We have a bunch of reviews and other interesting links to put up, and are hoping shortly to have links to chat transcripts, but it won't happen until we all regain consciousness.

Oh, just to keep you happy: in one of the chats with the actors today, we were told that the Gunmen do nude scenes during the series. Depending on your opinion, you will be either completely delighted or frightened out of your wits.

Safe thudding supplies for the fangirls will be supplied.

March 05, 2001
It's been a busy week in Lone Gunmen Fandom

The reviews are starting to show up on the net, and it looks like about a 9-to-1 "thumbs up" among the review columns I've seen (including a delightful one in (of all places) Monday's WALL STREET JOURNAL.)

Please notify us about fannish online events associated with the Gunmen (such as a weekly chat) and we'll put them up on our "This Week In LGM Fandom link."

For those of you who missed out on the chats last week, we'll be posting links to the chat transcripts as they're posted on the sites.
